According to the 2008 ACLAM/ASLAP Laboratory Animal Veterinarian Economic Study the average income for primary employment in laboratory animal veterinarians during 2008 was $153,038. The mean salary for non-board certified laboratory animal veterinarians during their first five years of employment was $92,000 in academia and $109,556 in industry.
