Giving to Teaching and Faculty Development
Tufts University President Lawrence S. Bacow said it best: Great teaching reinforces great research and great research reinforces great teaching.
At the Cummings School, this creative cycle can be advanced by hiring and retaining leading faculty—those who encourage curiosity and instill respect for evidence based learning.
A major goal in our campaign is to add endowed professorships. Endowed professorships help attract and retain faculty members who set the standard of quality for the entire faculty body, as well adding to the prestige of the school.
Veterinary medicine has long been a profession with a notable lack of diversity. Funding for special recruitment programs, incentive and mentoring will allow us to thoughtfully and strategically enhance the diversity of our faculty.
Note: Please select Faculty Development within the Gift Designation 1 box or Gift Designation 2 box during Step #2 when using the Online Donation Form. This will direct your unrestricted donation to support outstanding teaching and will bring renewed vigor to our efforts to attract the very best teachers for our students.
Further information about giving can be found on the Make a Gift Today page.
