What types of gifts will be matched in this challenge?

  • Gifts or pledges to existing, unrestricted endowed scholarships
  • Gifts or pledges to establish new, unrestricted endowed scholarships

What is the minimum gift for the matching challenge?

The minimum gift for endowed scholarships is $100,000, whether to an existing fund or to establish a new fund.

How long does the challenge last?

Gifts and pledges made before June 30, 2014, will be matched dollar for dollar. Pledges between $100,000 and $249,999 must be fulfilled within two years; pledges of $250,000 or more must be fulfilled within five years.

What funds will Tufts use to match my gift?

Tufts will match your gift with unrestricted funds that have already been designated for the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. When you make your gift, these matching funds will be applied to your endowed scholarship fund.

How will my gift be recognized?

You will be recognized for your portion of the gift and you will receive a receipt for income tax purposes only for the amount you contributed.
