Admission to the DVM/MS in Comparative Biomedical Sciences

This combined five-year DVM/MS in Comparative Biomedical Sciences program offers DVM students the opportunity to gain intensive training in biomedical research under faculty mentors in specific research areas.

Students may seek admission to the DVM/MS–CBS program when applying to Cummings School or any year after matriculation. Applicants must select a program faculty member as their mentor and submit a research proposal in one of the various Research Areas to the DVM/MS Training and Graduate Program committees with their application for admission by March 1. Three students meeting all application requirements are admitted each year to the DVM/MS-CBS program.

Tuition and fees are payable according to Tufts University guidelines. DVM/MS–CBS students are eligible for financial aid from a number of resources.
