Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University seeks applications from qualified individuals for a 1-year internship in dermatology, beginning July 17, 2017.
The Dermatology internship program is designed to provide advanced training in veterinary dermatology. Interns are required to participate in primary patient care in the hospitals, case discussion rounds, journal clubs and seminars. As part of the training program, interns in the Department of Clinical Sciences are required to teach students on clinical rotations, assess student performance through student grades and clinical competency tracking, and instruct students in clinical skills laboratories.
Training occurs in the small and large animal hospitals of Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine and Tufts/VETS (Walpole), in the greater Boston area. A certificate of internship is awarded to individuals upon completion of the training program.
The successful candidate should have a DVM or equivalent degree, and must have completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery in an approved institution or practice.
