President’s Message

Recapping an Active Winter

Bill RosenbladWilliam Rosenblad, DVM, V95,
President TUVAA

Any Tufts Cummings School alum knows that winter can be an unbearably long season around North Grafton and other parts of the Northeast. Cold comes with the territory. We expect it. Although, this winter, it seems we’re sharing our snow and ice with other parts of the country that are not nearly as well equipped to deal with winter’s grip. But we’re sharing our warmth as well.

As long as this cold season has been, it hasn’t put a damper on the Tufts Veterinary Alumni Association’s outreach. In January, we warmly hosted and toasted nearly 70 alumni attendees at the North American Veterinary Conference in Orlando. And in February, the Alumni Association proudly partnered with student members of the Veterinary Business Management Association (VBMA), organizing a memorable student/alumni networking night at Tavolino Restaurant in Westborough with over 90 in attendance. While TUVAA has hosted these types of networking/socials previously, we acknowledge alumni volunteers who came out in very strong numbers to share their expertise and guidance with students looking to learn from those who have braved the path before them. And Tufts veterinary alumni also joined gracious host, Dr. David McGrath, V86, at the Western Veterinary Conference in Las Vegas for a night on the town.

Membership Matters

Your alumni association is able to accomplish all this and much more thanks to alumni who elect to join the alumni association through annual membership dues. Thank you to all who have responded to the call to renew this year (or have joined for the first time.) It is not too late, and we invite you to activate your TUVAA Membership today if you have not done so already. We are encouraged by your support and have much more in store as 2014 progresses…

No matter how you connect, please keep in touch. The Tufts Veterinary Alumni Association is vibrant because of your involvement, and I hope you will find a way to be involved this year.

Thank you and sincerely,
William Rosenblad, DVM, V95, President TUVAA
