Choosing the Cummings School:

I was interested in a non-tracked program that let me explore many veterinary career paths during school, the location was convenient for my family, I liked the balance between problem-based learning and the more traditional didactic approach, and I am a state resident so I thought my chances of getting in were better.

Before Entering Veterinary School:

I was a licensed architect in Cambridge managing multimillion dollar, sustainably designed, higher education projects throughout the country.

Career Path:

I hope to open my own large animal ambulatory practice in New England or upstate New York.

The Year Ahead:

I am looking forward to the second year clinical rotations to see how all these lectures get applied in medical practice.

Favorite Vet School Experience So Far:

Clinical skills classes at the Grafton Farm. It’s a great time to learn very practical skills in a relaxed environment and spend time with animals.

Favorite Thing About Campus:

The beautiful semi-rural location, especially on fall and spring days when you can study outside or just go for a run.
