The ACE Course is offered in the second semester of the DVM students’ second year. The course introduces the principles behind Evidence-Based Veterinary Medicine and then applies these principles to model cases. The course includes journal article review and evaluation (including statistical analysis used for clinical studies), evaluation of the validity and origin of sources of information, and application of this information to clinical decision making. This course also highlights the practical skills that are needed to become an excellent clinical veterinarian.
ACE CATs (Clinically Appraised Topics) can be found on the ACE website.
