The Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University seeks TWO motivated, board-certified or board-eligible anatomic pathologists at the Clinical Instructor or Assistant Professor level.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The position primarily involves a mixture of diagnostic service and teaching (veterinary students and residents), with the remaining effort used to pursue collaborative and/or independent research and other scholarly activities. Diagnostic caseload emphasizes companion animals (dogs, cats, horses) and wildlife. The. The Tufts University system, which includes schools of Arts and Science, Medicine, Dentistry, and Nutrition, actively fosters collaboration between campuses. In addition to traditional strengths in infectious disease, neuroscience and regenerative medicine, the Cummings School is strongly committed to comparative oncology research. QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must possess a DVM/VMD or equivalent degree and be certified by the ACVP or ECVP or be board-eligible. Experience in diagnostic biopsy and necropsy, and the ability to independently sign out cases, is required. Demonstrated contributions to independent or collaborative research is desirable, including a track record of peer reviewed publications. Experience teaching at the professional or graduate level is desirable. Strong communication skills, customer service focus, and an ability to work in a team environment are essential.
