Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University is seeking an individual with strong experience teaching in a health science curriculum and a track record of (or potential for) participation in a collaborative research program. The position is offered at an Assistant or Associate Professor level and is available beginning July 1, 2018.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  The successful applicant will take leadership in teaching veterinary physiology and biochemistry and will work with a team of faculty to develop an integrated first-year veterinary curriculum. Some degree of extramural program funding will be expected, either through submission of external grants or by taking part in collaborative research projects. The successful applicant must possess excellent communication skills and be able to work with diverse stakeholders within the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. A small amount of University service (mostly committee work) is required.

QUALIFICATIONS:  The candidate must have substantial experience teaching in a health science (ideally veterinary) curriculum, have positive teaching evaluations, and be committed to excellence in teaching. Experience in curriculum design or management would be an advantage. Preferred qualifications include a PhD (in a relevant field) and/or a DVM (or equivalent degree). The candidate must have a demonstrated ability to work in a team.
